I love working with the Operation Love Reunited organization and meeting amazing military families. This cute little family was so much fun! We had a rare evening of gorgeous light and took advantage of it. As always I am humbled by the sacrifices these families make. Thank you “S” family for your service and for being so fun to photograph. I hope you enjoy your images and are reunited soon!!

What better way to kick off my first blog post on the new blog with an adorable photo of my own sweet kids!! This month’s I Heart Faces photo challenge is Happiness, and these 2 bring me SO much of it!! They really are best friends and have so much fun together. It warms my heart and I only hope that they are always this close.

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I was asked to do engagement photos for this adorable couple…and that they wanted them in Downtown Seattle!! I love shooting in the city and it is such a nice change from the parks and fields (which I love too!!). I think this fit them so well and I had so much fun capturing their love and excitement! The bride-to-be just moved here about a month and a half ago and the groom-to-be had just flown in for a visit the morning of our shoot, so needless to say, I did not have to do much to get them to interact…you could tell these two missed each other!!!

Thanks again Tessa & Travis!! You guys are awesome and I hope you love your images. Thank you SO much for allowing me to capture such a special time for you!

And now I present…City Love

I find the market to be SO romantic

We did end up finding some greenery that I just could not resist! And I already see some signs of fall!

I was so excited when my fellow photographer Brea Bursch of CYE Photography had the brilliant idea to Pay It Forward to other local photographers and offer up free family photo sessions. In exchage we had to then PIF to other photographers. Of course I jumped at the chance!!

So when I put the word out that I was doing my part, I was SO happy to hear from Shay of Shay’s Photography. Shay was one of the first people I met after moving to Seattle at a photographer’s get together. She was so nice and welcoming and has so much talent. I was also lucky enough to attend a 3 day workshop with her back in January.

I got together with Shay and her wonderful family on a warm summer evening for our PIF session. Her kids are used to the camera (the perks of having a photographer mommy), so our session was easy and fun, and just pretty perfect. The location, the lighting, everything!!!
